水泥牆體、半圓拱頂的漁寮，從前是居民在漁獲豐收時，以鹽巴醃漬魚類的場所，漁閒時則可用來擺放大型漁具。

The cement-walled, semicircular vault house is used to be the dwellers’ place of salting for their catch and storage of bulky fishing gear
in the season off.

早年元宵慶典時，聚落內的白馬尊王廟尚未擴建，居民會將神像請至漁寮，以漁寮做為祭祀與擺放牲禮的地點。

In earlier times, before the in-town White Horse King Temple is extended, dwellers
will move the idols of the Temple here during the Lantern Festival for the
purpose of worship and offering of sacrifices.

自從島上興建另一處冷凍倉庫後，漁寮逐漸失去作用，隨著漁業蕭條、聚落人口外流，一度頹圮傾倒，經公部門重修整理後，提供予社區及聚落活動使用。

Ever since a refrigerating storage was built on the island, as fisheries slacked and dwellers emigrated, it was not in use and tumbled down for a time. After renovation by public agencies, it is used for activities of the community and dwellers.
